Artist Statement

A drawing-based multi-media artist, I seek to blur the lines between medium and media, between 2-D and 3-D and to explore the boundaries of drawing as a primary art form.

I manipulate simple pen and ink drawings through a process of photomechanical enlargements.  The final product is of human scale and retains the rawness of the original small drawing.

These drawings are then placed in real world environments.  They are given homes; they are given context and narratives.  The resulting photographs are equal parts photojournalism, cinemagraphic mise en scene and documentation of a temporary, site-specific happening. --Tim Winn
