From Spanish Chapels to First Born
From Spanish Chapels to First Born is a series of photographs that were taken during a road trip through Spain. Inspired by the historical pilgrimage taken by couples since medieval times, that walked the Way of Saint James, in hopes of bearing children.
These are digitally abstracted images of places visited. Spanish monasteries, churches, and cathedrals, as well as celebrations and events that took place during the journey to have a child.

From Spanish Chapels to First Born is part of a larger body of work that addresses the issues of fertility, how we experience it today with our diminishing natural fertility but ever greater access to fertility treatments, drugs, alternative insemination, invitro, etc.
The most divine experience in life; the experience of creating and birthing a human being became more accessible to everybody in recent years. People traditionally excluded of having children; single mothers, gay, lesbian and transgendered people, older women. Not only medical advances play a role in determining who can have children, but also society and the political climate prevalent have the power to allow certain groups access or not.

Ile de la Muse
When life becomes entwined with your art, as did ours, the result is infused with love. Love of life, love of nature, love of love.
These were our sacred moments.
To create these images, we were up before dawn, to catch a sunrise on Fisher Beach.
We walked the Dunes of Provincetown at dusk, on a New Year Eve's day, capturing it all with a pin-hole, Polaroid Land Camera, in sub-freezing temperatures.
We each were "The Figure." Our atmosphere, otherworldly.
Something magical happened, artistically we became one,
right here, on the, "Ile de la Muse," Provincetown.

Energy/Matter was influenced by a movement among scientists and mathematicians concerning the existence of God. They pose the question: can science reach beyond physical reality and prove that a divine being or force oversees the universe?
In Tulane University’s mathematician, Frank Tippler’s book, “The Physics Of Immortality”, the proof of the existence of God lies in his “Omega Point Theory”. According to this theory, the entire cosmos will eventually be united in the mathematical equivalent of the sum of all points in time and space. Essentially, at the end of history, billions of years from now, “ life will evolve to its ultimate future – the Omega Point (God), the point of infinite knowledge (omniscience) and occupation and control of the universe ( omnipresence and omnipotence). Nothing more can happen.

Bad Girls on Wheels

I was once a voyeur of the life of a leather dyke; I became a participant with a love for motorcycles, and their ability to take you to the edge and back, and the women that ride them. “Bad Girls on Wheels,” is an exhibition of vintage silver gelatin photos. The NYC Sirens Motorcycle Club are the main subjects and the Gay Pride Parade in NYC, their backdrop.
