Artist Statement

During the last 13 years I have painted in Provincetown, Massachusetts, and Taos, New Mexico. In Provincetown, the great expanse is the ocean at one's feet; in Taos, the sky is the ocean overhead.

My paintings are an exploration of this expanse through light, line, the figure, and space, the energy fields of the body, the cosmos, stillness, and color. These oil paintings are a bridging of the uncreated world with the visible world, the experiences of the inner being expressed through the forms of the earth's landscape, the inner terrains, and the human body.
