Gallery Ehva represents exciting roster
of Provincetown and Outer Cape contemporary artists and offers
year-round workshops for beginners
and edvanced students of all ages.
We also work with local art collectors and show Early Provincetown Art and
Modern Art on consignment basis.
Our shows change every two weeks
with openings on every other Friday
evening 6 to 8pm.

Born Winchester, Massachusetts, July 12, 1860

Education: Boston Museum School of Fine Arts with Otto Grundmann and Frederic Crowinshield.

Member: Copley School; 1860 Chicago Sesquicentennial Exhibition; Provincetown Area Artists; Winchester Area Artists.

Exhibited: St. Louis Expo 1904.

Collections: Rochester Memorial Art Gallery; Boston Museum of Fine Arts; New York Public Library; Art Institute of Chicago; Provincetown Art Association and Museum, Provincetown Town Art Collection.

In 1903, the Bibliophile Society of Boston commissioned Howard Pyle to illustrate The Bibliomaniac; or, Book-Madness by Thomas Frognall Dibden. Richard de Bury Tutoring Young Edward III is one of five paintings Pyle produced for the book. The works were etched by W.H.W. Bicknell and attracted so much admiration that it was decided to issue them in a portfolio. [Delaware Art Museum]
